Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church

Offering the water of life in the desert.

COVID-19 Response

Grace is deeply concerned for the physical health and well-being of the Casa Grande community and our own members. We are also concerned for the spiritual health and well-being of everyone. For these reasons, Grace has taken reasonable measures to protect all those who wish to receive spiritual care from us.

We are offering public worship in small groups of no more than 10 people. However, Midweek Lenten Services are cancelled. Also, the Sunday school hour is cancelled—at least until Easter. For those who are sick, have underlying health conditions, or feel more comfortable remaining indoors, we currently offer pre-recorded Bible readings and sermons to meet your spiritual needs. We also offer online giving for members who wish to make a donation but do not wish to attend public worship.

Keep in mind that, once on site, there are guidelines we ask you to follow in order to protect the health of everyone. The guidelines will be included in the service folder, available once you enter the building.

Grace recognizes the situation is very fluid, with additional recommendations and different regulations put in place almost daily. Grace is continually monitoring the situation, making decisions in light of new developments. If there are other changes to public worship, we will keep you informed so that you may take appropriate steps to continue receiving spiritual care.

Welcome to the website of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. You are always welcome here!  When you visit you will notice something special about Grace. You will notice that one of the main focuses is Jesus Christ and him crucified. That's because the cross shows the reality of God's undeserved love--his grace--for you. The Apostle Paul focused on the cross too. He wrote, "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2, NIV).

But don't think that makes us preoccupied with death! A focus on Jesus and his cross helps us focus more clearly on our life. In fact, as we focus everything on Jesus--his life, death, and resurrection; his miracles and teaching--you will find insight and direction for your life. Most importantly, you will see and experience God's grace. When you join us, we know you will find grace by the cross.

Get connected to our church through Bible Information Class (BIC). The class is designed to acquaint you with all the truths of the Bible. BIC is held with the Pastor at a date, time and location of your choosing. The classes are free and come with extra resources you can use for your own study of the Bible. BIC is a requirement for membership at Grace.

Every church has its own style of worship. At Grace, we follow an order of worship called the liturgy. The word liturgy means service. Of course, the whole life of the Christian is our liturgy--our service to the Lord. On Sunday mornings, the focus on service is two-fold.

The primary focus centers on God's service to us through the Bible and the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Another important emphasis in the Lutheran liturgy is our service to God. We believe this two-fold emphasis goes together: our service to God is the Spirit empowered response of God's service to us. We maintain this emphasis throughout all our worship services at Grace.
